Surface Prep
Surface preparation refers to the various methods that can be used to treat the surface of a material prior to coating application, the use of adhesives and other procedures. Surface preparation is essential for treating surfaces before they are worked on.
Epoxy Flake
Epoxy flakes are a great way to add texture and depth to your concrete floors. The flakes are lightweight, and random in shape, so they won’t wear out your flooring or make it unsafe to walk on. They can also be mixed with other colors of epoxy resin, chip flakes and pigments to give you a perfect custom color look for your home or garage.
Urethane Cement
Urethane cement is a solid, high-performance floor surface. It is also referred to as urethane concrete, cementitious urethane or polymer concrete. It is an industrial floor coating made by combining urethane, common cement, aggregate powders, water, and other fine materials. It’s a great option for high traffic areas.
Grind and Seals
Grind and seal is a type of cement flooring with a similar look as polished concrete. However, rather than the concrete be polished until it shines, its ground to a 60 or 80 grit then coated with an epoxy. This method creates a watertight seal, which is perfect for surfaces that may be prone to getting wet/dirty.
